As someone not living in the United States, I don't know a whole lot about the domestic challenges facing the next president.
Instead I think about the important role this person will have internationally as the leader of the most influential country on the planet.
In a time when nationalism and protectionism is on the rise, my hope for the election is that the American people elects a president who wants the US to lead by example and not by force, a president who knows that international peace, prosperity, and cooperation are fragile subjects that need to be treated with the utmost of respect, a president who builds bridges instead of walls.
This November 8 will be an exciting day.
